Metro Kit Homes – Avila MV

Our Kit Homes Avila MV is compliant with the Victorian Department of Planning and Resources SSD (Small Second Dwelling) definition. This means you could construct an Avila as a granny flat in your backyard while bypassing planning permits previously required by council. Avila is compliant with current Silver Livable Standards for accessibility as well.

This Avila MV is like our standard Avila, without our covered decking. This keeps our total covered area within 60 sqm, allowing for this permit exemption.

Note this is only for Melbourne Metropolitan areas, and you will have to confirm your site and project can proceed with this permit exemption. This exemption does not apply to building permits. For more information, please check out the Victorian Department of Planning and Resources here.
