What is Planning Permission?

Planning permission or planning consent is the permission required in order to be allowed to build on land, or change the use of land or buildings. This is sometimes also called Development Approval.

The success in managing development proposals lies in with the discerned understanding of the statutory planning process and ability to anticipate the often variable expectations of project stakeholders.

 To assist with our clients to obtain relevant council approvals, iBuild has established partnership program with selected town planning consultants, to offer our clients tailored service at special rates.

Sydney & NSW CDC and DA

iBuild is pleased to partner with Customer Centre Plus Approval Solutions to arrange approvals for our client’s project.

Customer Centre Plus is particularly experienced in help clients obtain granny flats approval as a CDC, which is short for Complying Development Certificate.  This is provided by a private certifier using state laws that override council laws.  CDC is only possible if the property zoning complies and plans comply too.  If a CDC is not possible, approval can be sought through council as a DA.

The one-stop shop services provided by Customer Centre Plus include:

  • A single point of contact;
  • Site plans
  • Provision of a CDC approval service through the private certifier
  • Quick approval at minimum costs with an exceptional level of customer service

We are pleased to partner with LMD to offer our clients statutory and strategic planning service at a special discounted fee.

We can help iBuild clients determine whether a site is permitted to be developed with various types of pre-fabricated housing.  In most instances a Dependent Persons Unit or what is commonly referred to as a Granny Flat will be exempt from planning approval, however in some cases planning permission may be required depending on the zoning of the land and the applicable overlay controls which apply to the site.
