Official Opening of iBuild Engineering Hub
iBuild opened its doors to city councillors, members of parliament, and affiliated partners for their official grand opening of the Engineering Hub at their Campbellfield Factory. It was a great day to celebrate the achievements of iBuild and their goal to become Australia’s leading supplier of kit homes and modular buildings. The event took place inside a modular home being built in the factory to showcase the prefabrication capabilities of the company.
Directors Jackson Yin and Michael Zeng opened talking about how far the company has come in just 5 years. iBuild came from a humble beginning of just two people in a garage with a goal. Over the years, Yin and Zeng have worked endlessly to create the iBuild that stands today. One that has expanded to the global housing market and into commercial spaces. After all these achievements, Zeng announced their conscious efforts to give back to the community by donating 100 homes to the homeless in the next 5 years, which you can further inquire about here.
Welcoming iBuild to the area were Mayor of Hume Geoff Porter and MP of Broadmeadows Frank McGuire. Both are thrilled to have iBuild choose Hume as its home for the factory. Porter and McGuire both believe the previous accomplishments and mindset of iBuild align perfectly with those within the Hume area. It will be great new relationship with exciting opportunities ahead for both sides.
After all the speeches and congratulations, the plaque was revealed, and the building officially opened! It was a wonderful day commending the iBuild team and the effort they bring to the communities with such a diverse team of interns and employees. The closing remarks by MC Danielle Storey, CEO of the Eastern Innovation Building Center, were thoughtful and well-spoken and would like to extend a special thank you for her important role in the opening.
iBuild has a bright future ahead and want to thank all clients and partners for trusting and believing in the dream Jackson and Michael started!
