iBuild Kit Training: Manual, PM Help and What’s Coming
Transcript
Charles Christodoulou: What we’re going to do is like building a normal home, and we understand you need guidance. That’s why we provide a project manager and a construction manual.
Charles Christodoulou: When we build this new display here in Melbourne, we’re going to use time-lapse cameras and film the entire build.
Charles Christodoulou: I also want someone to provide commentary throughout the whole process.
Charles Christodoulou: For example: “Today we’re starting the frame. These are the wall frames; these are the roof trusses. We’re going to watch the carpenters put up the wall frame. Now that’s finished, the carpenters will start installing the roof trusses.”
Charles Christodoulou: We’ll show all of that so anyone who decides to build can receive a copy of the whole process, making life easier and giving them confidence.
Is there any training or course that shows how to build the kit?
Not a formal course yet, but you’ll get a detailed construction manual and guidance from an iBuild project manager.
What you get today
- Construction manual: Step-by-step assembly instructions covering frames, trusses, cladding, roofing, and fit-off sequencing.
- Project manager support: Practical guidance during your build to help you interpret plans and stay on track.
What we’re building next
- Full build video (planned): iBuild will film the new Dromana display home with time-lapse cameras, capturing the entire process from frames to finish.
- Narrated walkthrough (proposed): Voice commentary for each stage to explain what’s happening and why – ideal for owner-builders who want extra confidence.
Need help now?
- Start with the manual and your approved plans.
- Lean on your project manager for stage-by-stage advice.
- If you’re new to site work, consider a local builder/mentor for key milestones (e.g., first frame lift, roof, waterproofing).
