Sustainable House Day 2018

iBuild Opening its Doors to its 7-Star Display Centre

iBuild’s excitement peaked when it successfully hosted visitors on the Sustainable House Day 2018 on the 16th of September.

Sustainable House Day (SHD) is an annual event that gives Australians the chance to visit some of the country’s most environmentally friendly homes.

The houses featured on SHD are not only environmentally friendly, but more affordable and comfortable.

And iBuild’s Melbourne Display Centre is just that.

Our Lekofly building showcases an innovative approach by combining elements of both kit homes and modular designs. It is awarded with a 7-Star Rating under the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme, helping consumers save hundreds of dollars every year in household energy costs.

Recyclability and reusability are part of iBuild’s top priorities, which is why our houses strive to use recyclable and sustainable materials. For instance, our zero-carbon footprint timber cladding is 100% Australian Made and comes with a 25-year warranty. Furthermore, iBuild has a unique flatpack transportation model. Each of our kit and modular homes have a stackable design, optimising loads and reducing transportation emissions.

Visitors on Sustainable House Day had the opportunity to see how they can create their own environmentally friendly homes. With our guided tour and private consultation, the visitors directly discussed their future homes and took a positive step towards the sustainability of the planet.
