Supports

Supports refer to the part of the structure, which helps to resist loads or forces. Supports in structures include columns, walls, foundations and beams.

It can be classified as

1. Fixed
2. Pin or Hinge
3. Roller

Each of these supports is able to supply particular reactive forces (i.e. it can have a reaction).
