How does iBuild’s free plans offer work?

Getting house drawings done through an architect can be costly, often only for the customer to later discover their design is too expensive to build. iBuild sidesteps this problem because all the drawings for its standard plans have already been completed in advance, so customers avoid paying architect fees entirely.

How the process works:

1. Select a plan and get your complimentary estimate

After you choose a standard design, iBuild provides a cost estimate at no charge.

2. Pay an initial deposit

Once you’re happy with the estimate, you pay an upfront deposit based on the size of your iBuild standard design:

  • $4,000 for a small design
  • $5,000 for a medium design
  • $6,000 for a large or two-storey design
3. Sign your contract

When you sign your supply contract of the house kits, which may happen 3 to 4 weeks later, that initial payment is deducted from your 10% deposit.

The result:

Because the initial preliminary design payment is fully credited against your standard 10% contract deposit, you effectively pay nothing extra for your drawings – in effect, you get your drawings for free.

Related note:

This free-plans benefit applies to iBuild’s standard, pre-designed plans. If you want a custom design instead, a different process applies. Your plan will need to be sent to iBuild’s project manager for review to confirm it fits within iBuild’s build guidelines before being approved.
