Jackson Yin: iBuild is an award-winning kit home and prefabricated building supplier. We design, manufacture and supply high-quality pre-engineered homes and commercial buildings.
iBuild’s participation in the Digital Jobs Program has helped transform our manufacturing process. The program provided valuable training to our business and our team, and gave us access to crucial new skills. These new skill sets have helped streamline our digital workflow enormously and increase our efficiency. Our capability has been enhanced dramatically.
It’s very important for businesses to keep upskilling their employees. This fosters a culture of continuous learning and adaptability, which is vital to long-term growth and business success.
Our overall experience with the Digital Jobs Program has been fantastic. It helped train our team with much stronger digital skills and delivered tangible benefits to the business. The impact is profound. That’s why all businesses in the construction and manufacturing sectors should participate in the Digital Jobs Program.
We’re proud to announce that iBuild has been selected by the Victorian Government as an official Digital Jobs Program case study – marking a significant milestone in our digital transformation journey and recognition of our commitment to innovation.
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) has featured our success in a dedicated video titled “iBuild assembles new digital skills thanks to the Digital Jobs program,” now live on their official YouTube channel.
This case study showcases how six of our team members leveraged government-supported digital upskilling to transform our operations and drive business growth.

From Garage Startup to Industry Leader

Today, we supply hundreds of kit homes and prefabricated buildings across Australia and internationally – from everyday families to even a royal palace in Malaysia. We’ve proudly represented Victoria on the national stage, winning the Governor of Victoria Export Award and claiming the national title at the 59th Australian Export Awards.
How Government Support
Turbocharged Our Business

In 2023, we enrolled six iBuild team members in the Digital Jobs Program – and that decision became a turning point. The government-funded training equipped our staff with vital digital capabilities including:
- 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
The program didn’t just provide tools – it built capacity. It empowered our team to work smarter and helped us evolve into a more agile, tech-enabled business.
“The impact has been phenomenal - lifting capability, capacity, and efficiency. On high-stakes projects like the Royal Malaysian Palace, we delivered ahead of schedule, with a 0% defect rate, even in the face of a looming monsoon."
Jackson Yin, CEO of iBuild
