iBuild Building For The Homeless
In light of National Homelessness Week 2018, iBuild is proud to announce its continuing support in providing safe housing solutions for Australia’s homeless population.
National Homelessness Week is an annual initiative introduced by Homelessness Australia to help raise awareness and achieve lasting solutions around the theme of “Ending homelessness together”.
According to the latest Census data, homelessness is on the rise in Australia, which is why iBuild is committed to actively making a difference to the lives of the country’s rough sleepers.
Since 2011, there has been a 14 per cent increase in the homeless population in Australia, totalling around 116,000.
Young Australians are most affected by homelessness with around 58 per cent of the homeless population aged 34 or younger.
