After a rigorous tendering process, iBuild has been awarded a contract to fabricate and construct 56 units for an aged care facility expansion project in Ballarat.
The project involves an expansion of current aged care facilities to a modern, double-story building, with a gross floor area of 2,500m2.
The project will be prefabricated in iBuild’s Somerton plant.
The client is enthusiastic about the modular approach to the aged care facility expansion, as prefabrication offers a variety of benefits including:
- Minimised construction delays due to weather
- Avoidance of noise disturbance to existing tenants
- Compression of onsite assembly
