Providing employable skills to candidates
Breaking new ground in the construction industry, iBuild has been fostering success with its internship program since 2016. Candidates that showcase potential and a can-do attitude are afforded an experience at the cutting edge of innovation. Garnering real-world experience, interns work on projects ranging from commercial contracts with some of Australia’s industry leaders, along with the Government, and domestic projects for residential customers.
The program aims to develop employable skills in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to: Business, Marketing, Accounting, Information-Technology, and Engineering.
“Being at the forefront of innovation in the construction industry, throughout our internship program, we at iBuild are providing valuable experiences to our future industry leaders.”
- Managing Director, Jackson Yin.
As the internship program has developed over time, iBuild has been able to garner relationships with some of Australia’s best tertiary institutes including Monash University, University of Melbourne and Holmesglen. Holmesglen alumni and current supervisor of the internship program, Jayden Savannah, was a product of the program himself and has played a part in leading other current staff members through the program into permanent jobs.
The success the team has received hasn’t slowed down the efforts made to continually progress the relationship between industry and education, not only at iBuild but with our industry partners as well. These efforts have been commended by Monash Mayor, Cr. Paul Klisaris, when he encouraged more businesses to follow iBuilds lead.
Having a hive mind of interns available within iBuild allows the business to embrace new concepts and fresh ideas. iBuild prides itself on scouting talent for the next generation of future industry leaders. This progression that iBuild upholds allows the business to maintain its promise to customers of providing a housing solution that is Stronger, Smarter, Faster, and More Affordable.
