iBuild Frame Stands Tall Through Cyclone Alfred
When Ingrid McAlpin and her husband began building their dream holiday home on their block in Mt Beppo, QLD, they couldn’t have predicted just how quickly their iBuild structure would be put to the test.
Located in the scenic Brisbane Valley, the couple was just one week into assembling their Bunbury kit home. With the stumps, flooring platform, and steel frame only partially secured, they were making steady progress – until Cyclone Alfred suddenly swept through the region. It was the first cyclone the Brisbane Valley had seen in 33 years.
What should have been a peaceful build quickly became a nerve-wracking situation.
“We had just started our iBuild Bunbury home when Cyclone Alfred hit,” Ingrid shared. “Our frame was barely secured, and we feared major damage.”
As fierce winds and torrential rain lashed their property overnight, the couple braced for the worst. But the next morning, they were stunned by what they saw: the frame stood tall, undisturbed, and completely intact.
To our surprise, the next morning it was completely intact. iBuild’s steel frame held strong. The quality and resilience gave us total confidence - we’re so glad we chose iBuild!
