The Future Of Affordable Housing

Showcasing the Future of Affordable Housing

More than 100 school students had a glimpse into the future today at the Eastern Innovation Business Centre in Mulgrave.

Students from Mulgrave Primary School, Wellington Secondary College and Monash Tech School got a chance to explore innovative ideas at “The Future Of” event.

Students were involved in 1.5 hour sessions where they visited ten workshop stations on a range of futuristic concepts, including driverless vehicles, 3D printing, robotics and drones.

iBuild Building Solutions had its own display stall at the event, allowing students to learn about the future of affordable and prefabricated housing.

iBuild Project Manager Jayden Savannah said the day was an amazing opportunity for students to experience future possibilities in technology and jobs.

“Students were very excited to look at our Butterfly Model and learn how we can develop rapid and faster building solutions for the future,” Jayden said.

“The event was a great chance for students to explore different concepts and equip themselves with the skills needed for the jobs of the future.”
