Daniel'S
DIY KIT HOMES Toowoomba

We would like to congratulate our customer Daniel for selecting the Kit Homes Toowoomba design for his project near Jubilee Pocket, QLD .

Why Choose iBuild

New Home, New Horizons
A New Home in Queensland’s Paradise

Jubilee Pocket, a coastal suburb of Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, sits just a short drive from the marina and is framed by lush national parkland.

This build marks a new chapter for Daniel Maraia and his young family. With two children and a move to Queensland on the horizon, Daniel chose the owner-builder path to maximise both value and control. Rather than compromise on someone else’s vision, he’s investing his time and effort into creating a purposeful family home designed around their needs.

After considering various providers, Daniel chose iBuild for reasons that went beyond just price or product. The quality of engagement and the comfort he felt throughout the process made all the difference.

“It was comfortable, just I suppose from engaging with John – the discussions we had prior – we felt quite comfortable through the whole process. I think that’s a credit to you guys for providing that service. It’s a big commitment. It’s been a good experience so far.”

That sense of trust and professional support proved crucial for Daniel, who valued iBuild’s clear communication and comprehensive guidance. With two young children and a major family relocation to manage, he was particularly drawn to iBuild’s optional approval service – professionals who could handle council applications and consultant coordination while he focused on his family.

“I don’t need the frustration — I’ve got two young kids. That’s frustrating enough,” he said with a laugh.

Daniel’s choice of the Toowoomba design reflects smart planning for his family’s future. The four-bedroom layout offers room to grow, while the separate family area suits the busy rhythm of life with young children. As an owner-builder, Daniel values the design’s practicality for efficient construction, and its generous proportions and verandah connection create the relaxed indoor-outdoor lifestyle ideal for Queensland living.

This is what iBuild does best – partnering with families during life’s important transitions, offering not just quality materials but professional expertise, genuine support, and peace of mind.

For Daniel and his family, this home represents a fresh start in Queensland – a place built with their own hands, tailored to their lifestyle, and backed by iBuild’s commitment to building stronger, smarter, faster, and more affordable.
I spoke with a few companies, but iBuild stood out straight away. From the first chat with John from iBuild, everything just felt comfortable and professional. Building a home is a big commitment, but iBuild made the process easy to understand and stress-free. Their support and communication gave me confidence that my family’s new home is in the safe hands.

Groundwork & Foundations

Early milestones came steadily as water was connected and earthworks approached.

A major breakthrough followed with clear site activity and momentum building. Progress continued with the retaining wall completed, then footings and an impressive 27 piers installed – capped off by the satisfying sight of piers in place.

Daniel also sent a thank-you note:

“Thank you so much for the 10 remarkable offers progress gift. We will definitely enjoy this smart home unit in our new home 🙂 Many thanks IBuild team!”

With the frame and trusses on site, the build quickly took shape. Site prep progressed efficiently, moving from mesh installation to a major milestone with the slab laid.

Momentum continued as plumbing and framing advanced, followed by trusses and battens. There was a short wait for steel posts and beams before the next phase kicked off.

“From frames on site to the slab down, each stage has clicked into gear – now we’re powering through plumbing, framing, trusses and battens.”

Steel beams and posts arrived and were installed, marking a solid step forward.

The verandah roof frame went on, then fascia and roofing commenced. Interior tasks also moved ahead, including ceiling battens.

Most recently, the verandah roof and master battens were completed – bringing Daniel’s family home in the Whitsundays another step closer.
