Sharon chose iBuild’s Belgrave design – a practical granny flat layout that provides everything needed for comfortable, independent living. Working with iBuild’s team through architectural design, engineering, and approvals, they’ve now received their building permit and are ready to begin construction. Their son – who has just completed his carpentry apprenticeship – is planning to take the build to lockup as an owner-builder.
The straightforward design suits the family’s budget and his capabilities, giving him the chance to apply his skills while creating his own home. With iBuild supplying materials in staged deliveries to lockup, he can then complete the internal fit-out to his own specifications and timeline.
